RELAX, CONTEMPLATE AND CONNECT

BOULE COURT & FIRESIDE LOUNGE UNDER THE PAPERBARKS

Enjoy a communal game of Boule with a glass of Pastis (the French way), Negroni (the Italian way) or local non-alcoholic aperitif from our fine selection.

Or simply idle around the fire in the comfort of bean-bags and hammocks in the shade of majestic Paperbarks.

KROMDRAAI COMMUNITY CENTRE

In partnership with local social entrepreneurs and residents of Ptn 26 Informal Settlement we are developing community facilities that draw on the the resources of the Matla Combined School, the high traffic of cyclists and runners in the Cradle and the support of the CoHWHS Management Authority.  Our efforts are currently concentrated on:

Sports & recreation (Running with Tom, Giants of Africa Basketball, Netball and Running track)

Youthful Purpose (Ubuntu Queens – A spirit of hope for girls)

Artisanal Crafts (Ceramics, weaving, sewing and making furniture)

Roadside Gym (For everyone)

Signature Library (At the Matla Campus with Musa Mbele-Radebe)

Matla Combined School  (A partner relationship with teachers and pupils)

KROMDRAAI IMPACT AND CO-CREATIVITY HUB

Recently established in the historic 1970’s farmer’s residence on our adjoining farm. It comprises a 10 to 12 bed, generously proportioned homestead offering shared facilities, co-working spaces, workshops, studios and common areas for protagonists inspired to make positive social impact, enhance the environment and harness creativity for a better quality of life.

A generously proportioned 5 bedroom home with workshop, co-working and communal facilities

functions as an independent residency for groups engaged with creativity and social impact

underpinning by its relations with the local community

its ability to attract leaders and masters willing to share their experience and reach

with talented youth

to overcome the prejudice of the past and the shortcomings of global systemic disfunction.
